Fuel bills went down by about 25% on total bill of about £1000/yr for heating. In a good summer we don’t require any water heating.
These panels may be damaged if they overheat - because it’s old technology! Requires little maintenance (should have yearly service) and we have had only a few minor problems in 20 years.
Not as a result of solar panels, but we are very conscious of energy use and use an electricity meter which constantly records usage. We rarely drive, avoid flying and eat organic and local.

Solar panels are highly recommended. We are now looking at installing photo-voltaics.
